Hobart Book Launch

The RAVC Hotel in Collins Street played host to the official launch of the long-awaited Humble Leaders book, a compilation bringing together the stories of twelve exceptional and humble female leaders, including three local Hobart women.

While large parts of the nation are under tight restrictions and lockdowns are causing other launch events to be postponed, not so for Tasmania, where the official launch of the brand-new book took place.

The national Women’s Network Australia (WNA), the country’s largest and longest running (30 years) women-in-business organisation held the sell-out luncheon event on Friday the 20th with almost half of the twelve co-authors attending in person, while the others joined the event via live video link. The event included a ‘Conversations on the Couch’ segment which ‘Polly’ facilitated with local authors Alison Rogers, Rachael Downie, and visiting Melbourne-based author Adrianne Fleming, all sharing about their chapters, their journey of facing and overcoming adversity and how they created success in life and business.

With the other authors ‘on screen’ to talk about the Humble Leaders book, guests in the room had the opportunity to learn more about each of the authors, the stories contained in Humble Leaders and to ask questions. The event was a fun-filled lunch affair with opportunities to meet authors, network and to grab a copy of the newly launched book. Going by the fact that all available copies sold out on the day, meant many who purchased their copy were able to take it home to enjoy immediately, whilst others will have to wait for it to be shipped.

With pre-sales pouring in even before all the launch events have taken place – some had to be postponed due to restrictions – and book stores the likes of Dymocks stocking it as we speak, we will not only see Humble Leaders become a house-hold title but pop up in a store or bookshelf near us soon.
